The Festival's Mission
This all started quite some time ago when some crazy Alta locals decided they needed an excuse to have a block party.
Years later, a festival was born and organizations and businesses in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon work together out of recognition that the mountains are a finite resource and it's a good idea to use a festival to not only celebrate the wildflowers, but show people how to take care of them.
As a result, the festival organizers aim to carry on "A Celebration of the Wasatch Mountains and the diversity
of its ecosystem!"
